Light of the World Church

It's my first time of hearing mass at this church. It's a Roman Catholic church which is less than 10 minutes from home. As soon as I entered in the chapel, I was so amazed and feel in love with the place. Their adoration chapel looks really cozy, the altar looks so good.

I heard the Last Supper mass tonight, as I obeserved my the sorroundings... There are a lot of older couple in any way I looked. Before the mass started the officiating Priest had a very nice introduction about his parent's 60th wedding anniversary.. WOW!!!!! I salute them for keeping their vows and raising great children. The son which is the Priest called up his parents and his brothers and sister in the altar to have a blessing. A picture of Pope Benedict XVI and signed with greetings of a Happy Anniversary. I remembered my grandparents on my Mama's side, when they celebrated their 50th wedding anniversay, our Uncle, Fr. Raul B. Dael brough a lot of Rosary beads tha's been blessed by Pope John Paul II.

I fell in love with The Light of The World Church.. Surely I will hear mass at this church so often. It's Maundy Thursday.... And tomorrow will be the Celebration of Passion.

My neighbor was right

I just had to get Chicago direct tv after my neighbor just ranted and raved to me about how great it is. He told me about some deal he got that he thought might only be available in the Illinois area. I checked it out after he told me about it for the fifth or sixth time. It turned out he was right to be so excited for it. There were some pretty good packages that included most of the channels I like to watch so much. Believe it or not, I am a Starz type of guy. I love those channels. They just constantly stream movies. I have spent a few nights over at friends’ houses and just gotten lost in some movie on those channels. The thing I always thought was nice about them is that they would play both old and newer movies. They definitely seem to change it up a good bit, which would be a pretty cool thing to have access to all the time. I guess my neighbor was right about this one thing at least, but I do not know if I can admit it to him.

It's nice to be back!

I have been out in my blog account for long, I have been busy at work and in life. Trying to have a beautiful and enjoyable life for this year.

Life sometimes is full of surprises, we just have to go with the flow. It is sometimes confusing but we just have to focus of what we want or what will be the best thing to do.

I am happy with what I have now, though it still incomplete... I have my baby girl ( pomeranian) that makes me smile everyday.

I love Coffee Houses!

There is something about coffee houses that I really love. I’m constantly asking my friends to meet me at the Starbucks near my house and I’ve developed a first name relationship with the coffee house owner just up the street from me! I think it’s something about the smell of the roasting beans and the constant buzz of people in and out the door that I love. It’s like doing something social, but no need to dress up! I think it’s fun to take some work over to the coffee house on Sunday and just sit by the big window and type away. I usually use my clear-internet connection while I’m there since they don’t yet have wireless, but it’s fine since it’s faster anyway. My favorite coffee house in downtown has a checkers game that anyone can use…I like to take dates there after we go to dinner! It’s cheaper than going out for drinks and far more low key…and really, who doesn’t like hanging out in a coffee house late at night?

There are a few ways to make money with internet domains. One is to trade them: there are people who get into the business of buying and selling domains and have made good money doing so. Planning ahead

Fatherly New Year's resolutions

I think that there's a saying that fathers should teach their sons something. But I realized a few weeks ago that I still haven't taught my son any big thing. Sure, I taught him how to ride a bike but I thin that there are other things that I could teach him. So my main New Year's resolution for 2011 is to teach my son something that he can use for the rest of his life.

 

I went online to try and get a clue about I could teach him. I found a few ideas with my Clear wireless internet, including teaching my son woodworking. I do a little bit of that and have actually made a few pieces of furniture around the house that way, so I've decided him I'm going to teach him that craft. I told him about my craft New Year's resolutions and he seems pretty excited about it, so our first thing is to make a birdhouse, which I'm going to let him paint how he wants to and put in our garden.

A cup of tea!

I am now drinking a cup of tea, it is my first time so we will see! Since I am back from my vacation Pinas, I gained weight and my goal for this year is to loose weight. And be back to my normal one, its kind a hard because right now its cold and all I've done is eating! I hope I can make it through, my body is so different from before, lots of rolls as what my lover told me.

Aim high... for now!

Casino Christmas in Rio

I have never been out of the United States. My college roommates and I thought it was a good idea to fly out to Rio with a couple of girls from the sorority rather than go back home and spend the holidays with our parents. I have not regretted this decision at all and am winning big at the blackjack table. So far I am up four grand and plan to cash out when we leave the casino accommodation tomorrow. I made sure to set myAdt Home Security before the flight left last week. With four thousand dollars I am able to pay my tuition for next term. I know when to quit and that is when one is ahead. My uncle made a mistake that is now famous in the family. He doubled up on a bad hand and lost his year's wages instead of being set for another two years.

Rio is a magnificent place to spend Christmas. I have enjoyed the food, the weather, the women, the company, the casino, and the drinks. We have taken about a thousand pictures on my camera so far. I think the memory card is going to fill up within the next two or three days. This shouldn't be a problem as I am now much happier and richer than I was a week ago.

Our trip to the outlet mall for the holidays

Over the Christmas holiday my family and I try to make an annual run to the local outlet mall. It seems like this year was even more eventful than the previous. Every Tuesday before Christmas my sister, niece, mother and grandma all meet at my house for cocoa. After we are finished with that I set my home security alarm from www.allhomesecurity.com/home-security-systems/ and we head for the van and pile in. This year we all decided to get our picture taken with my niece and santa himself. The best part about the picture taking was my niece sat on one leg and my eighty year old grandma sat on the other. My grandma even gave santa a big kiss and as we were leaving santas house she smacked the elf on the rear. This tryst by grandma nearly brought down the house. I don't think my sister, mom and me have laughed that hard ever. The elf didn't even seem to mind the little pat of encouragement as he just laughed it off and went on his merry little way. Here we are another Christmas upon us and another fond memory to always remember in years to come.

A New Years' Eve Tradition

Regardless of what you've done or where you've gone on New Years Eves past, you can probably remember watching Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve prime time special. It is a show filled with musical acts, special guests and commentaries by the legendary Dick Clark himself. The excitement felt when I see the crowd in Times Square makes me feel like I'm a part of something much larger, and makes me feel connected with the world. Watching the ball drop during the count down is a tradition many of us around the world share. For one moment out of the year, we are all connected.

Sadly, Dick Clark has passed away, but his memory still lives on with Dick Clark's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest. Ryan Seacrest has big shoes to fill, but with his charm, humor and demeanor he is sure to fill the role quite well. Seacrest is a DJ and host of TV's American Idol, so he is already a household name. He has been co-hosting the popular program since New years' Eve 2005. Since 2006, Fergie of the Black Eyed Peas has been the West Coast correspondent.

Although Dick Clarks' presence is greatly missed I, like so many other Americans will be tuning in to ABC on my direct TV HD DVR to watch New Year's Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest and Fergie.

Sesame Street Still Has It Going On

One of the best all time favorite children's educational programming show on HD DVR Packages from Direct TV is, "Sesame Street." This show has been around for many years and has always been an excellent resource for parents, students, and teachers. The live like and funny characters makes learning fun, and interesting. Children are captivated by all the different characters who are portrayed in animal form. For instance Big Bird is very funny, so is Oscar the Grouch (even though he's always grouchy). Then you have Super Glover, Bert and Ernie, and then there is Cookie Monster.

Cookie monster loves to eat cookies and Count Von Count loves to count them. There is always Kermit the Frog, and Ms. Piggy. These interesting characters teach children a lot about friendship, reading, writing and math. They show how children and adults interact on a clear, and respectful level. I enjoy watching this show regularly with my grandchildren. What I really like about the show is that it teaches children to accept, and respect diversity in themselves and in others. It also teaches children that it's o.k. to be different, and still be friends.

This children's program teaches a lot of valuable lessons that even grownups can learn from. The characters are not violent, but they all have different personalities. One may be friendly, one may be grouchy, and one may be forgetful. They all relate to how we all are in one way or another. Sesame The lesson that Sesame Street teaches never gets old. All I can say is, Sesame Street still has it going on.

Sheraton Hawaii Bowl

This Christmas I'm finally taking my family on a much deserved vacation to Honolulu, Hawaii. We'll probably do all the tourist type stuff as a family - from the surfing to the snorkeling to the hula dancing. However, I managed to convince my wife that we should have a day to ourselves like on the TV shows. Basically a day to do things that you want to do. And what will I be doing with my day to myself you ask? Well I'll be spending it at the Aloha Stadium to enjoy the Sheraton Hawaii Bowl. The Sheraton Hawaii Bowl is a college football bowl game featuring the University of Tulsa Golden Hurricanes and the University of Hawaii Warriors. For full disclosure I should let you all know that I went to Tulsa for my undergraduate degree. Anyway, I bought two tickets for the game since my son wants to go with me. He's still in middle school, but I'm hoping he'll follow in my footsteps and become a Golden Hurricane.

We leave for Honolulu on the 08th and I'm in a mini state of panic trying to set up a cab to get us to the airport two hours in advance of our 7 a.m. flight. I'm not a morning person so I hope I remember to set my home security alarm (CLICK) before we depart.

It's a nice day!

Me and little yumi spend most of our time at the park today. We both need to be out and let the sunshine in our face. Now that we are back home, Im gonna do all of my pending task and my little girl is playing around the house.

I hope I'll get something important in the mail soon. Even though I am not completely happy right now, I am still thankful to our Dear God for giving me life and another day to live.

Nowadays we are engendered with the illogical feeling that old is no good. We are so bombarded with out with the old and in with the new that we fall for this consumerist trick. Soup and Salad

I had soup and salad for dinner, feels good! I hope I will not get hungry later lol... I am now trying to loose weight. I gained a lot in my PI vacation, my target is atleats to lost 10lbs after two months. I hope so!

I bought my little yumi a bone today, and she is so happy. It is kind a nice I am back in blogging world. I wish I can get more task, so I can save a little bit and put it in the bank for the future.

Brrrrr it's cold in Denver, hope mister Sunshine will show up more tomorrow.

Starting my day right

One of my New Years Resolution is not to be mad so easy. Feeling angry will just make the relationship worst or will not work out. I have learned a lot of things, I mean bunch bunch of things in life. There are times that I am feeling down, but someone always guide me and moved on.

I wish that whatever this year may bring into my life, I hope I will be a lot stronger and determined more than last year. I know with my one and only lover, I can make it.
